The Center for Sustainable Development "Ochaq" of Koksu district was visited by the U.S. Ambassador to Kazakhstan

U.S. Ambassador to Kazakhstan Daniel Rosenblum, who is on a working visit to the Zhetisu region, visited the public association "Center for Sustainable Development "Ochaq", located in the village of Mukanshy of Zharlyozek rural district of Koksu district.


The head of the association, Doctor of Law, Professor Sarkytbek Moldabaev acquainted the guests with the history of the center's creation and its activities. They were informed about this during a visit to the Kazakh-American Education Center, opened with the assistance and support of the United States in order to teach residents of the Zharlozek rural district the basics of local government.

"It is planned to implement the American 4-H training program in our center. We are ready to accept methodological assistance in this matter. The International 4-H program has been operating since 1902 in more than 50 countries and is designed to develop citizenship, leadership, responsibility and life skills among young people through practical training. Historically, it has been associated with education in the field of agriculture, but currently the program focuses on achieving the above-mentioned goals, and is also aimed at popularizing a healthy lifestyle, developing science, technology and technology," Sarkytbek Moldabai said.


Recall that the public association "Center for Sustainable Development "Ochaq" is a project for the implementation of local self-government. It was created and registered by residents of the Zharlyozek rural district of the Koksu district on June 7, 2020. Its charter is based on the UN program "Sustainable Development and its 17 Goals". Its main mission is to assist the village in solving environmental, economic and social problems, as well as comprehensive support for the residents of the village in the interests of sustainable development.
